Isla Fisher has spoken about the hardships of divorcing her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, and co-parenting their children following their divorce.

Baron Cohen, 53, and Fisher, 49, married in 2010, and they had two kids and a boy together. However, they announced their divorce last year.

The stars issued a joint statement announcing that they had filed for divorce in 2023, saying, “After a marathon tennis match lasting over two decades, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023, we filed for divorce together.

“We have always emphasized our privacy and have been working discreetly through this transition. We will always share our passion and affection for our children. We genuinely appreciate you respecting our family’s need for privacy.”

Fisher told The Times about how her family life has evolved since the breakup and how it has affected her.

She stated, “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, and it’s taught me so much about myself. Despite my family’s split, we remain dedicated and caring parents.

Fisher stated that her parents’ divorce was very peaceful, and she and Baron Cohen want to follow suit by co-parenting their three children.

“Kids are the most important thing, and you want them to really feel safe and loved,” she said of her parenting aspirations after the divorce.

“We are building a new, healthy version of what our family looks like and putting as much care and love into it as possible.”

The couple co-parents their children in the United Kingdom, with Fisher leaving Los Angeles because it was clearly an undesirable thought to live in Trump’s America.

During the conversation, she also discussed her habit of eating raw or barely cooked meals a few times each week and whether or not she is ready to start dating again after her divorce.

She said it was not on her to-do list and humorously hyperventilated, indicating she was not ready to think about it.

Shortly before Baron Cohen and Fisher publicly announced their separation, Rebel Wilson accused Baron Cohen of ‘being an a**hole’ and mistreating her on the set of  The Brothers Grimsby, which Baron Cohen’s reps denied as ‘demonstrably untrue.’”.

The charge appeared in her book,  Rebel Rising, but she denied being the basis for their breakup, claiming that the timing just ‘wasn’t perfect.’.
