Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina have reunited for a wonderful duet of Randy Travis’ iconic song “I Told You So.” The pair, who met on American Idol and have since become close friends, gave a performance that left the audience at a live concert stunned!
Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina made their debuts on American Idol in 2011.
They both participated in the tenth season of the program, with McCreery winning and Alaina finishing second.
During one of the results shows, Alaina and McCreery sang together for the first time, to the tune of Randy Travis’ 1988 classic “I Told You So.”
The then-teenagers tackled the country classic and did not disappoint. Their individual voices are magnificent, but combined, they are unstoppable.
McCreery and Alaina performed so well that fans are dubbing them the next Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. While we acknowledge that no one can rival these legends, it’s gratifying to be associated with them!
Watching them perform together before they became renowned serves as a reminder of how much they have evolved as performers while remaining loyal to themselves.
Their performance drew a well-deserved standing ovation from judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, and the whole crowd.
