On live TV, 7-year-old pianist mesmerizes with virtuosic and heartfelt Chopin performance

A classical prodigy with a musical maturity beyond his years. Elisey Mysin is a name worth remembering.
This piano performance may steal your breath away, as the tiniest of hands play a full-sized keyboard with such emotional strength.
On a 2018 Russian TV broadcast, kid prodigy Elisey Mysin performed Frédéric Chopin’s beautiful and evocative Nocturne in C♯ minor.
Mysin was just seven years old at the time.
People have long regarded Chopin’s work as some of the most challenging in the piano repertoire. For virtuosity to flourish, agile fingers are not enough; a profound sense of control, rubato, and subtle touch are also required.
“Played with real feelings, not just notes,” one fan says about this performance. We couldn’t agree more.
Elisey Mysin was born in the Russian city of Stavropol. His adventure with his guitar began when he was four years old.
Natalia Trull, the Moscow Conservatory’s piano teacher and performer, is now teaching the little prodigy.
In 2020, Elisey will be ten years old. His musical career is already filled with spectacular highlights. He has worked with Russia’s National Symphony Orchestra and the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra, and he frequently collaborates with celebrity pianist Denis Matsuev. His YouTube channel, which tracks his musical career, has more than 200,000 subscribers.
