Katie Petersen on violin, Ellen Petersen Haygood on banjo, Matt Petersen on guitar, Julianne Petersen on mandolin, Karen Petersen on bass, and Emmett Franz on dobro make up the full-time family band The Petersens, which has its headquarters in Branson.
Benjamin “Tex” Logan, a Bell Labs engineer, wrote the iconic Christmas carol “Christmas Time is a-Comin’.” Bill Monroe first sang it in 1951, and country music artist Sammy Kershaw recorded it in 1994.
