Mixed opinions surround a 2000s popstar’s radical transformation.

Aging is a normal part of life. Most people’s appearance changes as they age. While the majority of people accept the adjustments, others are less satisfied.

Celebrities, like everyone else, undergo aging. People generally scrutinize female celebrities for any changes in their appearance, regardless of whether they are natural or artificial. In a similar scenario, a prominent popstar from the 2000s faces criticism solely for her age.

Nelly Furtado, a Canadian performer, made her debut around 2000. The media previously regarded her as one of the most successful Canadian artists. Her 2000 CD, ‘Whoa, Nelly!’ was a huge hit.

The record was successful both critically and financially. Her album’s tracks “I’m Like a Bird” and “Turn Off the Light” both peaked in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 list. In fact, the popularity of the previous song garnered her a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

While everything seemed fantastic at the moment, it gradually became clear that things were not as they appeared on the surface. In a recent interview, the musician discussed how she battled during her early days of success.

She discussed the significant airbrushing she underwent. “I have olive skin, and they’d kind of lighten my skin a lot in photos and kind of take my hips down all the time—they would always cut off in editorials,” she told me.

In 2003, she published the song ‘Powerless’ from her album ‘Folklore,’ which discussed the event. She performs the lyrics: “Paint my face in your magazines, make it look whiter than it seems, paint me over with your dreams, and shove away my ethnicity.”
The singer, who is of Portuguese origin, reportedly admitted, “By my second album, I guess I was kind of angry about it.”

While she has experienced several hardships, she has no resentment and is appreciative of them.

She thanks her matriarchal family and supportive staff for providing her all the confidence and advice she needs to succeed in the profession.

She took a break from the spotlight to spend more time with her family. She has three children, the oldest of whom is her 21-year-old son, Nevis Gahunia.

After birthing her youngest two children, who were just 14 months apart, she discovered she had attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

The famous parent detected the signs in herself while caring for her children. She received a formal diagnosis as a consequence. She has two younger children with rapper Jerry (Gerard Damien Long).

While she had ADHD her whole life, it was only after caring for her youngest two children, both of whom were close in age, that she was able to receive a diagnosis.

“When I was in college, I was like, ‘Boing, boing, boing, boing,’” she admitted. I have struggled with it throughout my entire life. However, having my two youngest children near made me acutely aware of my ADHD.

Since her diagnosis, she has made an effort to be conscious and present in the midst of daily distractions. She prioritizes sleep, exercise, and regularity. She says that spending time in the dancing class helps her control her ADHD.

The singer recently released her debut album in seven years, bringing her back into the spotlight. She has performed some of her new music live, which has sparked conversations!

A Facebook user commented on her appearance, “What a beautiful woman,” while another added, “She actually looks a whole lot better than what she looked like in 2006—a thicker, more voluptuous body after having kids.” “Perfect. I love it.”
One individual was infuriated by those who were criticizing her for her weight increase; they wrote, “So, she gained some weight.” So what! She still looks stunning. “This obsession with weight is ridiculous.” “She looks better with the curves,” another individual commented.

On X (previously known as Twitter), individuals noted her altered figure, with one remarking, “Nelly Furtado so [expletive] thick.” One commenter stated, “She was skinny when she was younger…””But not now!”
