Jamie Lee Curtis honors friend Pamela Anderson’s No Makeup Movement with a barefaced selfie and leaves her fans speechless!

Jamie Lee Curtis understands how to be a helpful friend.

On Friday, Nov. 22, the actress celebrated her 66th birthday by posting a bare-faced Instagram photo in honor of her  The Last Showgirl co-star Pamela Anderson’s makeup-free campaign.

“Just got out of the shower. Selfie. I am paying tribute to @pamelaanderson @lastshowgirl and her ability to be self-aware without  makeup. Sober. Strong. “Steady on,” she remarked of the trend that began after Anderson, 57, appeared without makeup during the Isabel Marant Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 presentation during Paris Fashion Week.

The image showed the Academy Award winner beaming from ear to ear as she looked squarely at the camera while wearing a white turtleneck sweater.

“Let’s F——GO 66!” I just observed that I appear to be wearing mascara, which is certainly a leftover from yesterday’s workweek. Curtis’ post went on to say, “Clearly, Mommy did not wash her face well.”

Anderson plays Shelley in The Last Showgirl, a seasoned showgirl in her fifties who must make difficult decisions about her future when her Las Vegas show unexpectedly closes after 30 years.

“Emotionally distraught, Shelley attempts to reconcile with a daughter she hardly knows, which proves as tough as losing her sole job. Shelley must find her place in a world she slammed the (stage) door on years ago, aided by her closest friend Annette [Curtis], a boisterous cocktail waitress who laughs a bit too loudly and too frequently,” according to the description.

Curtis lauded Anderson at the film’s Toronto International Film Festival debut in September, telling people that she “did the movie because she was going to be in it.”

Curtis fought past scheduling difficulties in order to participate in the film, as she told PEOPLE about Anderson: “I admire the way she walks through the BS of show business and says, ‘I don’t need to play your game. And I greatly admire her for it.”
